WHERE IS THE HORN
TO ANNOUNCE MY BIRTH
– Ken Graves
1st-Man-On-The-Moon!
If I have the itch to read, I’ll pick up a novel. If, instead, I want to “deliriously cover myself in words,” (“Essence”) I turn to a Cow Tipping book. As the title indicates, 1st-Man-On-The-Moon! represents a masterclass in exploration. Treading the spectrum between zen directives (“Be Comfortable,”), righteous rage (“My Life”) and provocative philosophy (“911: Good-Bad-Or-Otherwise?), 1st-Man-On-The-Moon! demonstrates how neurodiverse writing sets itself apart. As Tom Doshan puts it in “Brother Mike”: “We do some stuff different so it all works pretty well.”
