My Couch Is Pushing Me Off
Don’t get too comfortable. My Couch Is Pushing Me Off is the 40th publication from Cow Tipping Press, and rather than ailing in middle age, the publication and its authors continue to supply poetry and fiction of creative vigor. In the title story, a couch raids the narrator’s fridge and tries on her clothes. Squirrels attack another’s family, though, in his case, this isn’t necessarily a tragedy (“Grand Canyon Memories”). Through deaths, financial strain, hidden treasure and a nightmarish brush with Kevin James, “the colors” of this collection “make me feel unfettered” (“Campfire”).
